Ghè
This Barolo comes from the area of Cerretta in the district of Serralunga d’Alba. The vineyard is on a spur, 3,500 m in length, completely south-facing, where we have decided to plant a special clone called michet which produces grapes characterised by very small berries with skins which have a higher concentration of polyphenols, giving greater complexity and structure to the wines. The wine is aged in French oak barrels, for 30 months, followed by further 30 months in bottle before it can be classified as Reserva and marketed. Among our Barolo wines Ghè is the most complex, aristocratic and structured. The very limited production of 800 – 1000 bottles, packed in wooden boxes, makes this wine a true gem.
