Cerretta

This Barolo comes from the historic cru ‘Cerretta’ in the district of Serralunga d’Alba, which since 2015 has been recognised as one of the most important MGAs of this territory. The marl and sandy soil, with a distinct presence of limestone and rich in iron, together with excellent exposure to the sun due to its south and southeast aspect, are key factors in the production of a powerful wine, rich in undertones. Meticulous care in the vineyard, a prudent and careful vinification, 30 months ageing in French oak barrels, followed by 6 months in bottle, gives us a wine of great complexity and personality, presenting to the nose an explosion of red fruit, with notes of rose, violet, mint and rhubarb.

Grape Variety:

100% Nebbiolo

Ageing:

After Malo-lactic fermentation, the wine is aged in carat of 400 liters French from Allier for 36 months.

Color:

Intense ruby red with orange reflections.

Parfume:

Ethereal aromas and hints of dried rose do not cover a slight fragrance of undergrowth, which makes it extremely harmonious and complete.

Palate:

Austere and persistent, rightly balanced. It has excellent tannins that allow it to last for a very long time in the bottle for 15 or 20 years.
