Serralunga d’Alba. Mid-to-deep ruby. Quite a bit of sweet new-oak and gingerbread notes on the nose, covering the sour-cherry fruit. The palate, in contrast, is enormously seductive with lots of juicy fruit and oak notes tied in by lots of chewy tannins. Ready now
and it will be interesting to see if, with prolonged bottle age, the oak will either integrate
or rather speed up the wine’s maturation.
